Understanding B2/B3 low-alloy consumables

B2 and B3 identify different chromium-molybdenum filler-metal families used with corresponding heat-resistant low-alloy steels. They are not interchangeable labels: the correct grade, process classification and heat-treatment route must match the base material and design code.
